Meet Jackie Aboulafia

National Data & Impact Manager, New York | jaboulafia@yesscholars.org

Jackie grew up in New York and attended Union College, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science. After graduation, she joined AmeriCorps as a high school English teacher at a NYC public school in The Bronx. Her passion for education equity led her to graduate school at Vanderbilt University Peabody College, where she earned a Master of Public Policy in K-12 Education.

Throughout her academic and early career journey, she had a range of experiences in education research, policy, and advocacy. Over the last several years, she transitioned into the data world, managing data and reporting for a variety of education programs and partnerships. She now specializes in program evaluation and continuous improvement, as well as data systems development and strategic data planning.

Overall, Jackie is most passionate about using creative writing and data storytelling to advance educational equity. She believes deeply in the power of data to build diverse coalitions, strengthen community, and elevate the voices of students, teachers, and families who have been systemically left out of the most important conversations in education.
Outside of work, Jackie loves all things live music and spending time with her family and her dog Jeanie.
