Meet Alicia Camacho

National Development Manager, Los Angeles | acamacho@yesscholars.org

Alicia Camacho has been involved with YES since 2005 as a parent of two scholars. One of Alicia’s YES scholars is now an entertainment lawyer and the other is in her second year of dental school. Alicia has been an educator for over fifteen years. She graduated from Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, obtained her BA in Liberal Studies with a Minor in Child Development from California State University Dominguez Hills, and earned a Master's Degree in Education and Multiple Subject California Preliminary Teaching Credentials from Loyola Marymount University. Alicia later cleared her credentials at Mt. St. Mary’s College.

As an educator, Alicia has broad grade level experience and has taught students in a range of grades from 1st grade to 8th grade in private and public schools. She has also served in administrative and advancement development roles at a private school. Alicia is excited and feels honored to serve families at YES and share her experiences as a parent and now as the National Development Manager. Alicia values firsthand the life-transforming value of YES’ mission and looks forward to sharing that experience with parents and scholars.
